Our Terms:

1.These terms

1.1 These are the terms and conditions on which we supply our products to you. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide our products to you, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. As detailed on the website please get in touch on louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk if you have any queries.

2. Information about us and how to contact us

2.1 We are L-ight, a sole trader established in England and Wales. Our address is [19 Greenend Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 9TJ]. You can contact us by telephoning our customer service team at [07968749382] or by writing to us at louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk.

2.2 When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.

3. Your order

3.1 Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you to accept it, at which point a contract will be created between you and us. When you have placed your order on our website we will send a confirmation email including your order number. If you do not receive this email please let us know at louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk.

3.2 If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this in writing and will not charge you for the product. This might be because the product is out of stock, because of unexpected limits on our resources, which we could not reasonably plan for because we have identified an error in the price or description of the product or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.

3.3 Our website is solely for the promotion of our products in the UK. Unfortunately, we do not accept orders from or deliver to addresses outside the UK.

4. Our products

4.1The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device's display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product may vary slightly from those images.

5. Making changes

5.1 If you wish to make a change to the product you have ordered please contact us. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible we will let you know about any changes to the price of the product, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.

5.2 We may change the product:

(a)to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and

(b)to implement minor technical adjustments and improvements.

6. Providing the products

6.1 Delivery times are individual to each L-ight product. When your order is ready to be dispatched we will send you an email advising you when to expect your products. If you wish to change the delivery address after you have placed an order please let us know as soon as possible. If our courier has not been arranged this may still be possible. A delivery charge will be added to your order during the checkout process. In the unlikely event that your products do not arrive when expected please contact us immediately on louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk. Should delivery be refused and the items returned to us a further delivery charge will be incurred for re-delivery.

6.2 Our standard delivery charge in the UK is £20.00 per item, tracked and delivery in two working days guaranteed (once the product is ready to be dispatched).

6.3 If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

6.4 If no one is available at your address to take delivery and the products cannot be posted through your letterbox, we will leave you a note informing you of how to rearrange delivery or collect the products from a local depot.

6.5 If, after a failed delivery to you, you do not re-arrange delivery or collect them from a delivery depot we will contact you for further instructions and may charge you for storage costs and any further delivery costs. If, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you or re-arrange delivery or collection we may end the contract.

6.6 The product will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the product to the address you gave us or you or a carrier organised by you collect it from us.

6.7 You own a product which is goods once we have received payment in full.

7. Returns and refunds

7.1 If you order our products by telephone or from our website you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to change your mind and receive a refund within 14 days after the date on which you receive our product. If you are exercising your right to change your mind you must send off the goods within 14 days of telling us that you wish to end the contract.

7.2 If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item or items to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. We will issue a refund on receipt, or exchange the item for a different item, if preferred. Please notify us of your intention to return an item before dispatch by e-mailing louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk and we will issue delivery details at this point. For the purposes of this clause “original condition” means perfect, resalable condition, including the original packaging and documentation.

7.3 We will refund you the price you paid for the products including (where the product is faulty) your delivery costs, by the method you used for payment. However, we may make deductions from the price, as described below.

7.4 We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible. If you are exercising your right to change your mind then refund will be made within 14 days from the day on which we receive the product back from you.

7.5 We may reduce your refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) on the return of a product which is not faulty to reflect any reduction in the value of the product, if it is not returned to us in its original condition (see clause 7.2 above). If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the product and later discover it is not in its original condition, you must pay us an appropriate amount.

7.6 Please note:

(a) The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own peace of mind, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods and that you obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate from the Post Office or courier.

(b) The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.

(c) The parcel can take up to 7 working days to reach us, unless sent via special delivery.

7.7 We will pay the costs of return if the product is faulty but in all other circumstances you must pay the costs of return. The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the costs of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer. For example, if we offer delivery of a product within two working days at one cost but you choose to have the product delivered within 24 hours at a higher cost, then we will only refund what you would have paid for the cheaper delivery option.

8. If there is a problem with our product

8.1If you have any questions or complaints about the product, please contact us. You can telephone our customer service team at [07968749382] or write to us at louise.carpenter@l-ight.co.uk.

9. Price and payment

9.1 The price of the product will be the price indicated on our website when you placed your order. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct. However please see clause 9.2 for what happens if we discover an error in the price of the product you order.

9.2 It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the product's correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the product's correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order. If we accept and process your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as a mispricing, we may end the contract, refund you any sums you have paid and require the return of any goods provided to you.

9.3 Payment must be made by debit card or credit card or and will be taken when your product is ordered. L-ight accepts most major credit and debit cards. L-ight understands that some customers are happier placing orders over the phone and any card details supplied over the phone will be destroyed as soon as the payment transaction has been processed.

9.4 You must pay for the products before we dispatch them. We will not charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch the products to you.

10. Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

10.1 We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process.

10.2 We are not liable for business losses. We only supply the products for domestic and private use. If you use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

11. How we may use your personal information

11.1We will use the personal information you provide to us:

(a) to supply the products to you;

(b) to process your payment for the products; and

(c) if you agreed to this during the order process, to inform you about similar products that we provide, but you may stop receiving these at any time by contacting us.

12. Law and jurisdiction

12.1These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
